This week on Ghetto Gunsmithing - a laminated gun part. I saw this on ebay. The seller says it's a Colt, but looks like a homemade replacement for a .22 single action of some sort. But it is still interesting, nevertheless. Instead of machining it with a milling machine, the part could be cut out with a jigsaw and welded or screwed together; perhaps the individual sheet is filed down to fit before final lamination.
Builders on weaponsguild have been using the laminated design for gun parts with success already - so if it works, go for it, I say.
